The founder, CEO and President of Biologic Nutrigenomics Research & Development Corp, Franco Cavaleri, entered the health and fitness industry as a young athlete seeking to perform at maximum potential. With an athletic start on the field as a soccer and football player, performance goals slowly evolved toward power and bodybuilding interests. Upon embarking on a university education in 1984 straight from high school, Franco’s desire to excel at bodybuilding persisted. As the University of British Columbia (UBC) research directive taken by this young scientific athlete intensified toward a performance objective, bodybuilding victories began to accumulate.
Nutritional science, genetic potential and calculated hard work were precisely formulated to give rise to regional, provincial, national and then international victory culminating with a win at the professional qualifier, 1992 (International Federation of Bodybuilding) IFBB North American Bodybuilding Championships in Rodando Beach, California, USA.
Upon graduating from UBC in 1990 with a major in Nutritional Sciences and Biochemistry, Franco Cavaleri continued with his postgraduate work on insulin resistance and associated conditions. These disorders have reached epidemic proportions today – diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular disease, chronic inflammation, asthma, neurological impairment (dementia) and premature aging.
A shift in Franco’s research focus took place in 1991 when, after battling with an unknown gastrointestinal problem, Franco was diagnosed with Severe Ulcerative Colitis. After several weeks of hospitalization, a loss of 50 pounds in body weight and a much greater loss in morale, the final prognosis was not good. With a strong understanding of the natural inflammatory process from previous research, Franco decided not to accept this sentence and instead to intensify his existing research effort in the field of eicosanoid hormones, such as prostaglandins, thromboxanes and other related hormone and enzyme systems of the body.
Franco chose to take his postgraduate work ‘independent’ through a corporation he founded since postgraduate research and the related thesis would be primarily owned by the University in which he would do this work for postgraduate credit. The research went on to win Health Industry awards and accolades. The original thesis was turned into a health book for health care professionals and consumers to utilize: POTENTIAL WITHIN (for human health and wellness). Other books were generated from this research.

This research led to an in depth investigation of COX enzyme activity often modulated by common drugs like Aspirin (ASA) and other NSAIDS; essential fatty acids; other omega-3 and omega-6 fats such as those from marine oils; and dietary and pharmaceutical factors which influence hormone-related body processing of these compounds. The desperate research unveiled a nutraceutical application which would once again bring victory in Franco’s life – recovery over uncontrollable disease.
In 1992, less than one year after hospitalization and debilitation by disease, Franco won the prestigious IFBB Mr North America title and soon after had completely left behind a 
disease and a sentence, which is said by medical experts still today, to be life-long. Almost 20 years later –little sign of disease, no surgery and all a result of a complementary health program perfected over a decade of work – pharmaceutical and nutraceutical – corrective therapy developed from Franco’s long and intense research endeavors and personal trials and tribulations.
These strategies have been and continue today to be applied by Franco to help countless cases of human and veterinary diabetes, chronic inflammation, hepatic disorders, gastrointestinal disorders, dermal and cardiovascular conditions as well as assisting many in their weight management and athletic goals.
In 1992, Franco started a Canadian nutraceutical company which delivered some of these original formulations to consumers under the brand name, Champion’s Choice Advanced Nutrition Inc. In line with Franco’s vision and under his close supervision, the company embarked on standard-setting quality control program; research and development; fabrication; testing; packaging; labeling; distribution; exporting and importing of over-the-counter nutraceutical drugs and foods. Champion’s Choice nutritional products were designed as preventive and therapeutic alternatives as well as complementary
applications to be used with pharmaceutical drugs if required. The formulation target of these therapeutic strategies was the correction of biochemical dysfunction to found long-term recovery and not just symptomatic relief – to create biological self-sufficiency.
Performance-enhancement, as well, was designed with the same ethical and scientific guidance at Champion’s Choice –
athletic performance-enhancement by metabolic correction and optimal cellular biochemistry. By creating biological efficiency within the body, performance could reach full potential and nutritional enhancement strategies would have a platform to work from. Franco Cavaleri and Campion’s Choice entered into an international merger and acquisition deal that took these proprietary technologies to new heights with Franco at the helm as Director of Research for half a decade more.
Franco continued his research and development and quality control work in the new company for a short period to produce nine Canadian industry award winning formulations. Today, all award winning products, in the category of therapeutic, preventive and ergogenic sports nutrition, are on retail shelves across North America along side more than 180 additional formulations developed by Franco Cavaleri and his research company.
The Champion’s Choice strategy was carried on by Biologic, Franco’s next corporate endeavor, only now to be joined by the advancements of today’s new-age science. As Champion’s Choice was in its time, Biologic is today recognized for its cutting-edge therapeutic, preventive and performance research.
In 1998, Biologic Nutritional Research Inc. was born, under Franco Cavaleri’s direction to continue the nutraceutical research and health promoting legacy. Under the Biologic Nutritional Research Inc umbrella, Franco Cavaleri developed and clinically validated BiologicVET – addressing cytokine and prostaglandin mismanagement (health and disease management) in canines and felines with powerful success. This line of therapeutics gained monumental traction in the marketplace leading as well to another merger and acquisition for Franco’s North American- and Asia-wide pet technology. This species -specific nutrigenomic technology opened more windows into the proprietary human nutrtigenomic research that Franco has been working on for as long as a decade. .Franco has collaborated with TWO world renowned research organizations under strictly monitored non-disclosure agreements to validate his scientific work. The objective of the collaboration: to gain independent third party or peer reviewed status. As of 2010, this peer-reviewed work and the target immune (autoimmune-related) pharmacology has been confirmed with jaw-dropping acknowledgement by the scientific officers involved and the medical doctors witnessing the disease remission.
